Friday Night with the Mammoth

Friday I won some tickets in a drawing at work for the Mammoth NLL (National Lacrosse League game). As luck would have it, the seats were in the Coors Suite. SWEET! It was perfect for Oliver!! We took Oliver once last year and it wasn't such a success since the games are very loud and he was quite young. We had season tickets for a few years with our friends Bryan, Katie, Jen and Craig but we all decided not to re-new this year. We were quite exited to take Oliver to this game and he did SO well! We were worried about all of the noise but he took it all in stride. There was a lot of head bobbin' going on and a few hip shakes with the music. He enjoyed watching the teams run back and forth, but one could argue that the Wild Bunch (team dancers) were his favorite act. I was quite amazed at how attentive he was.

Keith dug out the old cow bell we received at a past Mammoth game for this momentous occasion. Oliver was "hands on" ringing that bell through the whole game. Oliver took a quick rest on Dad's should during one of the early time outs. Considering the game started at Oliver's usual bedtime, 7 PM, he was waiting for his second wind to kick in.

When we entered the Pepsi Center we were all given signs for when the opponents were sent to the penalty box. Oliver wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first.
Do you really need anything else but a hand full of hot dog and a cow bell to make your day complete?
WOOO HOOO!!! Oliver's Got it!!
"GET IN THE BOX!"
Quick photo op at half time. Thanks for taking the picture Michelle!
With a little help from Dad
It is imperative to complete occasional quality checks on the cow bell.
Oliver giving the team a round of applause.
Oliver did smile during the event but he got smile shy when the camera came around. Here is an almost smile.
We had a great time and Oliver loved it, even though the Mammoth lost :(
