Dating Again with Kip, Pat and Dierks

Keith and I met at a concert.  Shortly after we got married he declared that he didn't like concerts, they were loud and he couldn't understand the music.  Hmm...  I responded that this was false advertising.
His response this spring was that since I loved concerts so much, we should attend some concerts.  It helps immensely that the boys are a bit older so we are a bit more brave to entrap ourselves in the thousands of people and stand-still parking lots.  Months ago, we bought tickets to see one of our favorite artists, Pat Green.  Keith likes very few musicians, but he loves Pat Green.  Pat Green also sang our wedding song, which Keith chose.  Pat Green is not only great music, but he bring us sentimental value as well.  He is not always very well known outside of Texas so he usually opens for another artist.  Regardless, we still sign up for the show.
We have been fortunate to find an amazing baby sitter who is a teacher at the boys' school.  We take full advantage of her offer to bring them home from school and we head out to events a bit earlier than we used to.  The boys find this to be fun as they get to buy her dinner of their choice.  They usually drive through Old McDonalds and treat her to a value meal of her choice and they choose a happy meal that comes complete with a toy.  Keith and I never take the boys to McDonald's, so this is a treat, indeed.  (This also makes me think I'm turning into my father.  It's hard to deny, but we really do turn into our parents.)
We arrived at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater before the opening act even started.  There were two opening acts and we weren't sure when Pat Green was going on so we made sure that we were there in plenty of time  We paid WAY too much money for some burritos and beer and got comfy on our reserved seats.
(If you are familiar with Red Rocks, you know that many seats are general admission.  Another sign that we are getting older is that we don't have the time or patience to get to Red Rocks early enough to ensure a good GA seat, so we opt to pay $10 more for reserved seats.  We also don't have the patience to deal with the crowds in GA.  Yes... these are just signs of the times.)

We opted for a second round when the beer man came by.  A couple of Cold and Refreshing Cold Coors Light Aluminum Pints and we were set.
Coors Light and John Deere is like a better version of Peas and Carrots

First up was Kip Moore.
WHO?
Kip Moore
Ya... we didn't know either until we heard his hit song.  He put on a fabulous show!

Then, it was time for Pat Green.
Without a doubt, we love Pat!

Between Pat Green and Dierks Bentley we had a bathroom break which is at the bottom of Red Rocks.  On the way up it was a great chance to take a picture of the crowd, surrounded by the rocks.
A guy passing by decided we needed a photo.  I love those nice people who like taking our photos!
Toward the end of Dierks Bentley he had everyone take out their cell phones to light up the amphitheater like the stars in the sky.

We were not familiar with Dierks Bentley but we are now fans of his as well.  He put on a GREAT show and we'll definitely look to see him again when he returns to Denver.

For the record, at the end of the night Keith said he had a great time and it was like we were dating again.  Ahhh.... Such a Sweetie!  I'll remind him of this when he tries to pull false advertising again.  HA!!
