Davisson Family Reunion: Arrival Day

A year ago, the Davisson sisters (Keith's Mom and her two sisters) announced that there would be a Davisson family reunion at Lake Hamilton Arkansas in June 2012.  After a year of planning, the time had come for us to jet set to the lake that bared our name.  The boys were thrilled for vacation, they where thrilled to wear their new scuba shirt, however, they were not thrilled to pose for a pre-vacation photo.  Oliver tolerated the idea, but since Mom asked him to sit close to Kellan, Kellan was not happy with that idea.
Kellan scooched and scooched until he hit the wall.
Then he stood up and went to the other side of the stair.  We all had a good laugh, then Oliver scooched and scooched toward Kellan.
We eventually settled with this photo and then said "Head out Boys! It's time to GO!"
But not before some quick individual photos.

Our last flight was to Hawaii which didn't have a smooth start.  This flight, was a piece of cake.  Once we were on board we were ready for take-out toward vacation and the Little Rock airport.
Kellan is finally getting a old enough to wear head phones for the movies and TV.

He was a bit concerned about the sounds coming out of the head phones.
Eventually we lost the free programming on Frontier and we turned to the DVD player.
At Enterprise Rent-a-Car, our associate was great.  He even posed for a photo!  Kellan was very curious about the guy who was so interested in being in our vacation photo.
Yes, we loaded up BOTH boys in the stroller when they started debating on who would ride in it.  It was such a short distance that we had to go that it worked quite well AND it ended the debate!  Bonus!
Once we arrived at Lake Hamilton and got settled at our hotel suite, we headed across the street to Uncle Bill and Aunt Carol's condo on the lake.  The boys introduced the family to the lizards.
Watch out!  You never know when they are going to get you!
The view of the lake from the patio was great.
Since we were the first to arrive and it was just us, Aunt Carol, Uncle Bill, Nana and Papa, we went to Jose's for dinner.  It was great to get out and have a fun Mexican dinner.  Up front they had a kids table that the kids were thrilled to see was just their size.
After dinner we noticed some saddle stools in the bar.
When in Arkansas, belly up like the Arkansans (is that a word?)
The saddles were fine but it seemed to be lacking some flare.
Did someone say flare?
SOMBREROS!!!

We were relieved that we had a pleasant travel day, we had a great dinner and we were excited for the festivities to begin the next day.
