We needed to stop by the brewery gift shop but we had 45 minuts until it opened so we parked Downtown Golden and walked the path by the creek. It was a beautiful day to enjoy Golden.
Kellan enjoyed watching the water and kayakers from the bridge.
Oliver thought he wanted to go down the twirly slide by the creek. You can see Keith standing on top in the brown and Oliver is right below him in blue.
We waited and waited but Oliver finally decided that the dark cave looking slide was not for him.
Instead, he preferred riding the fish statues in total daylight.
The boys also enjoyed walking across the bridges.
Oliver picked out his outfit himself including shorts that were a bit small and a Chewelah t-shirt that was too big. Well... sometimes a Mama has to let coordination go out the window in order to let her boys be independent individuals.
In Oliver fashion, he was very cautious crossing the bridge that seemed a bit skeptical. It didn't help that bicycles had ridden across and it was quite noisy as the boards flexed beneath their tires. He's such a funny boy. There were no worries and he made it across safely.
At the brewery the boys thought it was great fun to squish souvenir pennies for $.50 in the machine.
