Davisson Family Reunion: Fun All Around

As this is the first time the Davisson family has all been together in a VERY long time, we took full advantage and hired a photographer to capture the occasion.  To give an example, when we fist saw Keith's cousin Leanne, she said she hadn't seen Keith since he was Kellan's age.  I guess you could say it's been a while.
Everyone put on their coordinating Navy and White outfits and headed to Hollywood Park.
I imagine William was thinking "Catch me if you can!"  This boy is Non-Stop and FULL-speed-ahead!
Kellan was smitten with the babies, just as his brother Oliver was.  He was just a bit more shy about it and you would notice sweet secret moments like this.
Kellan was also very jealous and liked to be VERY close by when his Mommy and Daddy were snuggling one of the babies.  Maybe he just wants us to remember who our baby is.  Fortunately for him, there is not doubt in our mind that he will always be OUR baby.
During the individual family photo shoots we had a chance to toodle around and I managed to get a couple of shots on my own.  Lauren and Kaden were looking especially stellar down by this brook.
The guys catching up: Keith, Uncle Art and Brian.
When there is a baby near, Oliver and Kellan aren't too far off.
The boys discovered flint rocks in the creek bed and Keith was explaining their properties.
Kellan was curious about this great find.
The big boys were more interested in how easily they could throw the flint and watch them smash to smithereens.
I call this the creepy couple photo. (they are brother and sister in-law, ya know)
Stephanie and Keith were talking and when I asked them to smile for a photo, this is what I got.
(You can see Nana and Papa having their photo taken in the back ground)
In a recovery effort, this was the next shot!
HA HA HA!!!
Kellan and Oliver enjoyed discovering the creek bed.
This is also about the time that Kellan began to melt.  It was a bazillion degrees, humid and only about 11:00 AM.
Jeff and William were kicking back enjoying a cool beverage.
These two have deep thoughts.
Keith's younger brother Jeff, also known as a Texas Hamilton.
Sometimes Keith get a hold of the camera and I actually find a few photos of myself on the memory card.  Sometimes, I don't even realize he's taking photos.
Then, I do.
Strike a Pose!
Deep Thoughts run thick in this family.  Oliver always has deep and thoughtful questions and comments.  We often think that his mind works well beyond his years.
After the photo sessions we took the kids back to the condo to cool off and have a southern BBQ lunch.  For a rare moment, the five oldest Hamilton grandkids were sitting around still and reading books together.
Clockwise: Lauren, William, Kellan, Kaden and Oliver

The kids had a perfect dining table on the patio.  This ended up being the "kids table" and they loved it!  It also appears that they must be VIP as they have their very own body guard.

Here she is!  Miss Lindsey and her adorable boy Isaac.
I could just squeeze those cheek!
Oh look, I did get in some squeezes!!
Papa took Oliver for a walk "down stairs".  The kids couldn't go without an adult since the grassy area was right on the water.  When I looked over the edge I saw Papa scoring some MAJOR bonus points as he helped Oliver up on the wave runner for a dry run.
With each new day brought a new turtle hunt.
How many Hamiltons does it take to hunt turtles?

Fortunately for us, the turtles were plentiful and there were enough to go around.
Kaden, Oliver and Lauren all with their own turtle.
A bit later I found these two in deep conversation inside.  Kellan was telling William something of great importance.  I'm sure it was about how fabulous his Mama is but more than likely it was the comparison of the peanut butter cracker versus the cheese cracker.
That afternoon it was Williams lucky day as he got his first boat ride, just before the big storm blew in.
While we were on the boat, Keith took Oliver on his first ride on the wave runner.  It was hard to get photos between the bouncy boat and bouncy wave runner so this is all I have.  Oliver LOVED it and even got to drive himself.  When you ask Oliver what his favorite part of the vacation was he will always respond "Riding the Wave Runner with Daddy."  His Mommy and Daddy agree, riding the Wave Runner was THE most fun!
As if this wasn't enough fun for one day, as the storm blew in for the evening, the boys blew over to the hotel suite to take a dip on the indoor pool.
Most of the time, these two are peas in a pod and absolutely irresistible.
Marching down the hall in pursuit of the indoor pool.
Waiting for the elevator, in perfect sync.
The elevator routine was exactly that, a routine.  Every time we got in, both boys had to push the buttons, Kellan had to push the button again for the door to open (so he thought) and occasionally we got a great big YES!  This video was taken at a very fortunate moment when we got all of the above and two YES's.  Yes... that is what Kellan says in excitement as he enters and exits the elevator.  It cracked us up.  Check it out!

Once we got to the pool it was loud and wet.  Two things that Kellan didn't really want to partake in, especially when it was well past his bedtime.  Yet, he didn't want to leave either.  So... he watched in the safety of his green ring and a lounge chair.
These guys may have made me want to steer clear as well.  They were having the time of their lives.
(Random Kid), Keith, Oliver, Brian, Lauren and Kaden all having a great (and loud) time in the pool.

Oliver thought it was great fun to splash his Dad.
The pool was such a great time that they closed it down at 10 PM.
Isn't that what vacation is for?  Having non-stop fun all day long and well past your bedtime?!
