This past weekend, Keith's parents were planning to come down for a visit. Their trip was cancelled so we found ourselves with a weekend that was wide open. We spent the weekend doing some much needed deep cleaning, resting, relaxing and spending time with our boys.
Saturday night we went on a date night with all four of us to our favorite sushi place, Japon's.
Kellan enjoyed chewing on the chop sticks until we decided they were probably a choking hazard.
Oliver has really been enjoying taking photos so he took a few of us.
Oliver also took a few artistic photos.
What Kellan looks like across the table from Oliver's shorter point of view.
When I was looking through the photos I found this one to be humorous.
Oliver's self portrait.
After Oliver was done snapping photos, he decided to draw a bit.
Oliver usually dines on potstickers when we go out for sushi. In his opinion, the best way to eat potstickers is with a chop stick jabbed through the middle.
FEED ME!!!
So much for no elbows on the table.
Oliver wanted to try the real deal when it came to sushi.
Here he is, trying raw salmon for the first time.
He said he really liked it, even if his eyes seem to be telling a different story in this picture.
Oliver trying the next bite on his own.
Sushi is a bit slippery and sometimes you have to help the chopsticks out a bit.
If Oliver really acquires a taste for sushi as much as he is leading us to believe he may price us out of our sushi dates. Yikes!
After sushi we went for frozen yogurt at Pinkberry, just down the street. Last spring when we went to San Diego, frozen yogurt was everywhere but nowhere to be found in Denver. This spring, frozen yogurt places are popping up everywhere.
Kellan flashing a sly smile.
Oooo.... Oliver's frozen yogurt has peaked Kellan's interest.
We had a great date night with out boys. After sushi and some sweet frozen yogurt we walked to the nearby Barnes and Nobel to buy Maui Revealed for our trip to Hawaii this fall with Keith's family. We are really looking forward to our trip with them and we get more excited every time we crack open the book to unleash more ideas of what to do and see.
