Wrapping Up Another Great Football Season

From Baseball to Football, we had some final games of the season to play.

First up, the Polar Bears!!!

After some friendly hand shakes, the teams were ready to roll.
Kellan handing off the ball.
Kellan taking his turn running the ball.
Run, Kellan, Run!

He gained some good yardage, but the defense caught up to him.
On the sidelines, there was some earlobe rubbing going on.
I'm not sure if ear lobe rubbing is good luck or not, but it was funny to see.
The Polar Bears played a great game but came up a bit short.  Their opponents were a really tough team and the only team that the Polar Bears lost to this season.  The Polar Bears put up a great fight and definitely grew this season.

Always, the trophy's are a ton of fun for the kids.  Kellan talks about it all season.  He sees his brothers wall full of trophy's and hes excited to start his own wall of trophy's.

Congratulations to the Polar Bears on being the 2nd place team of the season. This is a huge accomplishment for this bunch of kids who showed a ton of improvement over last season.  We are so proud of you.

Way to go big guy!!  This was a big year for you.  We can't wait to see what the fall brings for you.
Next up, the Dragons!

Much to the Dragons disappointment, they lost the playoff game the week before.  We were in Florida for the game and when we heard that they lost, we thought that our friends were teasing us.  As it turned out, there was no teasing involved.  It was the Dragons first loss, ever.  It was a heart breaker for the boys and their #1 fans, but they went into the final game of the season like the champions they all are.
Right out of the gate, Oliver had the ball and ran it for a touchdown.

The fun part of this game was that the many of the Dragons went to school with their opponents.  Oh yes, that is Adriano in the photo looking back in disappointment that his good buddy just outran him for a touchdown.
Next up, Oliver had his opportunity to chase down Adriano.
Oliver and Adriano also got into a bit of a tussle over a ball.

Looking back at photos, there was a lot of Adriano chasing Oliver only to be followed by Oliver chasing Adriano.

Oliver had another opportunity to run the ball and gained some great yardage for the Dragons.

At the end of the game, the Dragons came out with a win.  They had another amazing season and we were so very proud of each of the boys.
It is also the end of the era as Coach Ben and Coach Chester have decided to hand the reigns over to new coaches.  We were so very blessed to have these amazing Dad's as the coaches and we will miss having them on the field with the Dragons.

Way to go, Dragons!
Way to go, Oliver.  We are so very proud of you!
Owen and Oliver, celebrating another great season.

Oliver, Owen and Cole; clearly having a very serious conversation.

Win or Lose, these boys are great friends.  Oliver and Adriano have been peas in a pod since they became friends in Kindergarten and then the lucky two went to the same 1st grade class together.

After two great games by the Polar Bears and the Dragons, we all went over to Owen's grandparents house to celebrate the great seasons.
The pool was exciting, but the ping pong tournament was an exciting new treat.

Rub-a-dub-dub.... a bunch of kids in the hot tub!

Congratulations to the Polar Bears and Dragons for a great season.  We'll see you on the field in the fall.
