Sock Hop

What says Friday night like a school fund raiser Sock Hop?

The boys put on their whitest t-shirt, their coolest Chuck Taylors and Grandma helped them flip their hair in proper 50's style.

Owen, Oliver and Kellan were mighty dapper in their duds.
It's even more cool when the little brother puts on his shades and throws down a hand pose.
Even Jennie was in the 50's spirit.
Carrie just borrowed Jennies cat eye glasses for a quick photo op.
Jennie and her coolest dude, Owen.
There was hoola-hoopin' happenin'.
Kellan loved hoopin' with Kaitlyn.
Not too bad for a little guy with no junk in his trunk.

It was super fun to have Grandma and Grandpa at the Sock Hop with us.
Who's this cool dude?
The boys enjoyed some fruity drinks while they watched the kids hoop and holla.

There's nothing like a spaghetti dinner when you're wearing your whitest t-shirt.

Who doesn't love a huge chocolate chip cookie for desert.
The Dad's enjoyed the Sock Hop too.
The Sock Hop was quite the party, complete with the limbo.

Samantha stopped to give Kellan some words of wisdom as she passed through the limbo line.
Kristen and Jennie all dolled up.
Samantha and Kellan, hamming up the camera.
It was so much fun to see these four together again.  We sure miss having the girls living next door.

The Drakes were quite the limbo kids.
Even gives some good moves to get under the bar.
Chase was the most impressive with the traditional back bend.
It was also super cute to see the Drake twins doing a jig.
Some of the gang.

When the evening is winding down, it's time to throw down.
Run Baby Run!
We had a great night at the Sock Hop.  It was fun to be with friends and it was fun to see the boys all dressed up with their friends.

Yet... there's no rest for the Ham Fam.  When we got home, Keith and Grandpa installed a new gas stove in our kitchen.  Our electric stove started to go out about 1.5 years ago and we were down to cooking on two burners.  Then, a week ago our microwave gave up on us.  This was the last straw and we ordered new appliances.  Whew!  The kicker, Keith was going to transition us from electric to gas.  After a bit of work, he made it happen.  He truly is amazing!
What a great day.  What should we do tomorrow to top today?
