Oliver loved flag football so much in the fall that he is playing again this spring. After missing his first game due to strep throat, he was fired up and ready to roll in the second week.
There was a cold wind blowing in another snow storm, so we were all bundled in layers but this didn't slow down the Dragons. They took home their second win of the season.
Thanks to Uncle Jerry for the perfect O hat. Yes, we may have to answer the question "so, you're a Duck's fan??" every time he wears it. We simply say it's O for Oliver. (Duh!)
Kellan wasn't a fan of the cold wind so he was snuggled on Mommy's lap during practice and after about 10 minutes, he was peacefully sawing logs. This kept Mommy parked in a chair for the whole game so Daddy played paparazzi. Literally, in this case. Mystery photos from the sidelines.
Is this the "Ugh, it's so cold out here. I wish the wind would quit blowing my hair around."
Or the "Ugh, that looked like it might hurt. Be cool. Be Cool. He's OK."
It must have all turned out ok, everyone relaxed again.
Look close. There is a sleeping giant under that blanket.
Oliver getting ready to hike the ball.
Hut Hut HIKE!
Again, hiking the ball.
Getting direction from coach Ben.
One thing that Oliver has proven is that if you give him direction, he will follow.
Taking the ball...
... going for the goal.
This lead to a...
Touch Down, Oliver!!
Plus, don't forget a few flag pulls.
Oliver is #16 and this was a successful pull.
In Flag Football, they play all positions and both Offense and Defense. Oliver is getting more and more confident and aggressive (in a good way) on the field. We are SO proud of him. We love watching him learn and grow with football each week and we are thrilled that another season has arrived.

Love, love, LOVE the "O" for Oliver hat. He's so trendy. He could be the Broncos' next big break!
