You could almost say, second verse same as the first.
Monday morning while most of you were going to work and school, we had nowhere to be but the beach.
On the agenda for the day:
Play in the Sand
Swim in the Ocean
Relax
Run in the Waves
Collect Shells
Hunt for crabs
Work on Mommy's tan (Ok, maybe that wasn't on everyones agenda)
Ahhh.... working on the agenda already.
It's hard to see, but this is a big shark that Keith and Oliver built.
Kellan began to warm up in the water and went on his own sea shell searches.
No... I didn't take or post this photo just because it's an inconspicuous shot of Keith's back side.
This was an attempt of showing our surroundings. Our camp at the beach, surrounded by a whole lot of nothing much.
Kellan and Daddy on a sea shell hunt.
There is nothing like a strawberry snack in rest mode
On Monday, the beach was practically empty and we had plenty of our own space.
Thankfully, we had plenty of space, since there were sand slugs being slung around.
Flying sand was a constant topic of conversation and why sand didn't have it's own wings for a reason, because it's meant to stay on the ground, not fly through the air.
That's our camp with the red/orange umbrella.
Driving on the Mommy freeway is so much more fun than any other freeway.
Maybe because the toe jumps were spectacular.
Once the Daddy freeway parked in the neighboring chair, it was fair game.
Mommy and her boys had an in depth shell search in the shallow waters.
After Keith picked up the camera and started taking photos of us, Mommy realized that she was still caked in sand from the Mommy freeway excursion. What Mommy didn't realize was that Daddy kept taking photos of the clean-up effort.
Ugh, Sand in all the wrong places.
Ok, all cleaned up, ready for another happy photo moment but Mommy's Boys.
After clean-up and some relaxation at the condo, we headed out for a dinner with south-of-the-border flair. Take close note, this is the one and only time that we had a family photo. I love Kellan's true colors by showing off a stink eye. This boy needed to eat, not take another photo. You may also notice that Kellan has no shoes. No problem! While in Florida, he fully adopted shoes as VERY optional. When you're two, it's all good.
Our cutie pie Kellan with sun kissed cheeks.
Oliver enjoying some fresh guacamole.
Cheers! It's Happy Hour!
After dinner, the band began to play and Oliver's inner musician emerged with a killer air guitar.
"Mommy, if we eat really good, can we get ice cream after dinner?" said Oliver every night.
While on vacation, do as vacationers do... eat ice cream!
Tonights choice... Strawberry!
With a full belly, there are no more stink eyes from this guy.
Headed back to the beach for sunset.
Ready for a sunset and a crab hunt.
Unfortunately, the Hamilton's came up 0-2 for this.
Crabs - None
Sunset - Cloudy
Good Times - Infinity and Beyond
Awe-mazing
Self portrait on beach
Awe... LOVE!!!
After a LONG walk on the sand bar that now appeared more like a large beach, we discovered a large number of sitting birds. They were peacefully sitting, minding their own business. That is, until the Hamilton boys came sauntering along and their Daddy suggested that they go chase the birds.
It was getting dark and it was very cloudy so the photos aren't the best.
However, the best time was had.
You could hear their squeals and laughter from far ends of the beach.
They LOVED it!
The birds... there probably wasn't much love there.
Then... Daddy joined in.
He couldn't stop laughing himself.
The three of them had an absolute ball.
It's funny how attentive birds can be when they think you're throwing them food. Even if it's really sand.
After another AWE-mazing day, we got a tiny glimpse of a sunset.
It was a wonderful ending to a perfect day.
Just think, we're not done yet!
