Dinner Guests

We were SO excited when we heard that we were going to have Friday night dinner guests.  So excited, that we put a roast in the crock pot, whipped up some potatoes and gravy, green salad and .... beer bread hot from the oven.  YUM!!!!  Ok, so we were excited to see them as well, but Keith and I had a blast making a super yummy dinner for guests on a Friday night.
Follow this...
Keith's older brother's wives sister and her family had to come down to Denver from way up in Wyoming for an appointment and we nearly begged them to stay at our place and have dinner with us. We loved having them here to catch up, snuggle with Nash and learn about big foot and mythical creatures from Nolan.  I think Nolan may be one of Keith's favorite people after that conversation.  I never knew that Oliver's eyes could open so wide and for so long without blinking until I observed him listening to the big foot and mythical creature conversation.  A good time was had by all!
After dinner, the boys crashed in front of the TV for an hour and a half with Puss in Boots.  It was a special treat for the Hamilton boys and they got to stay up WAY past their bedtime.
With all of the furniture in our house, the floor is apparently the best view of the TV.

The next morning, I was enjoying a snuggle with Nash when he was quickly swiped from me by Keith.  What can we say, we have a soft spot for adorable babies now that we actually know what we're doing with them.  Snuggling with Nash is a bit different than you would imagine.  He is an active little guy and it took about 1.3 seconds to realize that he prefers to face the world head on with a rhythmic hip bounce.  The world had better watch out while he's facing them because he's one of the cutest little guys the world has seen.
Nolan entertained us night and day with his mad piano skills.  I'm not sure that this piano has ever been played like that except maybe when one of Uncle Jeff's visits.  Yes, this is the piano that I played as a kid.  I never claimed to be Mozart, Bach or any of those other old dead guys.
While Nolan was serenading us with a peaceful tune, Nash was nibbling on his new slippers.
Oliver has a soft spot for the babies as well and is often found sitting close by, having a little chat with them.
Nash was good for Oliver as he actually would talk back and respond to Oliver's questions.
Kellan isn't as thrilled with the little guys since that's usually his role to fill, so he found himself reading books near Nolan.
Maybe Kellan was just working up a plan to jump into the treble clef position of Nolan's tune.
Kellan finds the piano fascinating, as most two year olds do so I won't take this as a sign as a mad pianist anytime soon.  We hope that the boys lean more towards Uncle Jeff and Nolan's natural talent to whip out a classical piece rather than their Mommy and Daddy's labored attempts.

Of course, we had to get a photo of the boys before our house guests left.  Plus, Aunt Stephanie asked for a picture of all of "her boys" together, well 2/3 of them anyway.
It took some organization and Kellan wasn't really in the mood.
Kellan was in the mood to play with the Jumbo Prize Duck.
So, Jumbo Duck was in the photo too, but smiles were not an option until Nash got to check the duck out as well.  There is just something fun about a neon blue Jumbo Duck.
All of our happy boys!
Nash, Nolan, Kellan and Oliver

We had SUCH a great visit.  Come back again SOON!
