One of Oliver's favorite past times this fall has been kicking leaves in the yard. They have been learning about fall in school and on our drive home he likes to tell me about the life cycle of leaves. So, a week ago we took him to the entrance of our sub division where there are some wonderful trees with tons of leaves. He loved kicking all of the leaves! We had great timing too. That night, a wind storm came in and every leave was gone by the next afternoon. Whew, we made it just in the nick of time.
I just grabbed my pocket camera so they aren't the best quality, but sometimes you just have to made do.

We had amazing color this fall and I realized on our walk that I didn't get out to take photos of any of it. Huge Bummer! So, here is one tree that was wonderful.
We finally made it to the leaves and cut Oliver loose with strict instructions to stay in the leaves and not to dare venture toward the road. Like the rule follower he is, he stayed in the leaves.
If you look closely, every family member is represented in this photo.
Kellan giving a nap in the crisp fall air and the comfort of Dad's arms a thumbs up!

Of course, Oliver wanted to check out the tree too so Keith hoisted him up there.
Our attempt at taking a photo of both boys, neither of which were in the mood to strike a pose. Oh well, maybe next year.
Quick, one more JUMP!
Look Mom, a new stick!
This was Oliver "making" the leaves fall as he would bang one stick onto another. He did this the entire way home.
We have had amazing fall weather with temperatures in the 70's and 80's and brilliant fall colors. The weather continues to be nice but the weather people promise snow in November. I suppose it is inevitable but we are going to enjoy the Indian Summer as long as it is gifted to us.
