Celebrating Independence, Steamboat Style

There really is nothing like the Fourth of July Parade in Steamboat Springs, CO.  I Love It!
I loved it even more this year as we were there with the Heinemans and Scotts.

Oliver, Kellan and Owen found front row seats and they were ready for the festivities.
Gami was dolled up and ready for a great parade too.

Ready for the parade to begin.
I love how respectful our boys are of the color guard.
Kellan gave a waver to the Steamboat Firemen and the hosts of the fireworks display.
Who doesn't love a camel in a parade?
It's always a good time to teach your kids about giving back to the communities that we enjoy so much.
Only in Steamboat will you see a cowboy riding a long horned cow down main street.
At all parades you will find plenty of candy, but will the kids catching the candy be this cute?
Carrie and Keith, loving this gorgeous summer morning.

You've got to love ladies with chainsaws.

After seeing a few Icee's go by, Keith and Eric strolled over to Sinclair to hook up the kids with Icee's.
Since we were kind of sharing space with three adorable girls from Denver, we treated them to Icee's too.  Life is way more festive when you share Icee's at a Fourth of July Parade.

Its not every day that you see a flame breathing dragon.

Oliver, Owen and Kellan enjoying Otter Pops.
As if Icee's aren't enough, Otter pops given out from parade participants were like icing on the cake.
Papa, Gami and Jennie
Mmmhmmm.... Mommy snuck in a slurp of the Icee.  It was SOO good!
The Heinemans!
Jennie, Eric and Owen.

After a fantastic parade, we headed back to our condo pool to cool off and relax a bit.
Gami and Kellan enjoyed a dip on the pool.
These two may be starting to resemble each other.  Look at those matching head tilts and squinting eyes.
Oliver and Owen, the two fish.
Icee's, Otter Pops.... Popsicles... YES PLEASE!
Seriously, this kid is the messiest eater ever.
Mustaches have never been so funny.
Glasses and a bow-tie have never been so handsome.
Selfies have never been so much fun.

This condo balcony was a barrel of fun!

The fun doesn't stop here!  It's keeps on keepin' on.
We may have lost our minds about the time that Jennie busted out the whip cream.
The boys thought we had finally found our minds and turned just a tad bit cooler.

Sundaes all around.

The kids can't be the only ones having ridiculous fun.

Whew!  That was so much fun... let's head down to the firework display and build a pyramid while we wait!

Ok, so building the pyramid was SO! MUCH! FUN!!
We laughed and laughed and crumbled down.

Kellan... he was still charming us with his uber cuteness.
While we wait .... climb a tree.
While we wait... take a walk down main street.
While we wait... throw down a few Pop Its.
While we wait... wave a plastic glow stick flag.
While we wait... take a family photo.
Oooo.... the show finally began.
A couple of little boys had suspicious eyes.
Then... they began to love it.
The Heinemans may not have loved the big booms as much.
The Ham Fam were all OOOoos and AAAaaahhssss!

What an Ahhh... Mazing Fourth of July!!
We loved spending it with our dear friends the Heinemans and Scotts in the amazing town of Steamboat Springs, CO.
Happy Independence!!
