Flag Football - Nearly the Super Bowl

To you, it may seem like this flag football season will never end.  To us, we don't want it to ever end.
It has been an amazing season.  All but one week we have had clear blue Colorado skies.  I'm convinced that our skies are a shade of blue like no other.  Maybe it's the thin air and the direct sunlight but whatever it is, I'll take it each and every day.  We have had such warm weather that us Mom's have been happy to work on a late season tan while we watch out boys play football and while the Dad's stretch out short season a few weeks longer.  On this day, it was particularly fantastic as the trees were changing colors and reminding us that winter was on it's way, even if Mother Nature wasn't quite ready for it.
Below: Eric, Patrick and Keith enjoying the fantastic fall day.
I'm not sure that these boys ever saw much football, but they definitely aced whatever games they played week after week.  Next year, the time in the suite for these boys will come to an end as we suite them up with flags and cleats.  It's hard to believe, but next fall they will be four and ready to rock the field.
In case there was any doubt in your mind that Kellan was quite comfortable with his masculinity, he has perfected the couch lounge pose.  I have brothers, I can say this.
This was the first game of the championship series.  There are two weeks of championship games, which Oliver calls the SUPER BOWL!

I don't have many photos from this week as I was busy on the sidelines working on a project with the boys for the coaches, but I did get to see Oliver run the ball in for a touchdown and pull a few flags while he was on defense.

In the second half, he had a great hand off to Owen H.
Oliver also had a great pass to Owen M.  Look close and you'll see the ball in the air.
Once again, Oliver had another great pass to Caleb.

The Dragons ended the game with another win.  Next week is the grand finale, championship game which Oliver likes to call the Super Bowl.  Until Then... GO DRAGONS!
