Way back when fall was just beginning we had a neighborhood fall festival. Yes, I'm a month behind, but I'm committed to catching up and not skipping a single beat.
It was a absolutely glorious evening. The skies were clear blue and the air was crisp. Not only did we have a jumpy castle, games and carriage rides but Keith also won second place in the chili cook off with his green chili.
This jumpy castle is SO big that it made Oliver look like Kellan.
There was some serious Crow Conking going on.
Hot Dog eating contest for One.
Then... the sun started to go down and so did the temperature.
There were plenty of crafts to get us in the spooky Halloween spirit.
As well as creepy crawly accessories...
... and ear to ear smiles.
Then, as the sun began to dip below the rocky mountain skyline, we jumped on the mule driven carriage ride.
Our drivers; Black and Decker.
Black and Decker were crowd pleasers. Not only were the happy to give us a ride around the neighborhood (twice) but they also let the boys give them a scratch to say, "thank you".
Another stop at the ball rolling game before calling it a night.
Ta-Da!
That's a wrap.
Jumpy castle, games, carriage rides, hot dogs, crafts, chili to eat, chili to beat... it was a fantastic end to summer and start to fall.
