The Golden Rule

Tonight, Oliver told us this story about his day.  The names have been changed to protect the unsuspecting.

"Today, Joe gave me a Broncos Football card and Jim took it and ripped it in half." said Oliver with a disapproving look.
Mommy replied, "and what did you do?"
"We took Jim's card and ripped it in half.  That's what you do, it's the Golden Rule.  Treat others how you want to be treated." explained Oliver with a quick tone.
Mommy replied, "Is that how Jim wanted to be treated is to have his card ripped in half?" While Oliver nods a convincing yes. "So you ripped his in half?" Again, Oliver nods yes with a very matter of fact look.
Mommy asked, "What did the teacher do?"
Oliver replied, "Nothing, she didn't see it."
Mommy questioned, "You took care of it?"
Oliver replied while shaking his head yes, "MmmHmmm."

Well, how do we argue with the logic of the Golden Rule?
