Date Day

For a year, we have been waiting for this date.  (OK, I have been waiting) Finally, the last movie in the Twilight series was here, Breaking Dawn Part 2.  Keith should get a special award for being such a trooper.  He watched the first movie with me at home and has been at the opening weekend for the following three movies.
Plus, it was our 9 year anniversary from the day Keith proposed.  When I told him this he looked at me and said "Oh, Jen's birthday is tomorrow.".  Yes, our engagement anniversary and Jen's birthday will always go hand-in-hand.  He was going to propose the night of her party, but didn't want to take away from her celebration.  By the time he did it, it was a Tuesday night.  I called Jen at the crack of dawn the next day to tell her the news and I completely forgot to say Happy Birthday.  Yes, those two events will always go hand-in-hand from that day on out.
While we were waiting for the babysitter to arrive, we had Oliver take a few pictures of us.  First us, Keith posed for a test shot.
Then we gave the camera to Oliver.  The photo was a bit crooked but cropping fixed that.  It was a bit blurry since the camera wasn't still once during the process, but that's ok too.  He got a great photo of us, ready to head out on a date day at 11 AM!!
After we picked up our pictures, we went to the Yard House for lunch.  We were SO excited for a date day!!  You know it's a sign that you're getting older when day dates are more fun because you're wide awake, not wishing you could just go to bed and you know you're getting your money's wort with the sitter because she didn't just have to put the boys to bed.  The funny part is Kellan was exhausted so after they ate lunch and played football in the backyard, Kellan went down for a very long nap.  When we got home, Oliver had fallen asleep on the couch while they were watching the Broncos game.  Half time came and he closed his eyes.  They both ended up sleeping anyway but that was OK.  They were much needed naps and then we got some quiet time to watch the game ourselves.
Keith enjoyed a Blue Moon with lunch.
I enjoyed a Strawberry Mojito.
YUM!!
It was SO good!!
The movie was great but a bit bitter sweet event.  It was so good to see it, but it's sad that the series is over.  Now, I'll just have to watch it over and over at home.  I bet Keith can't wait for that!! HA HA!!

I think you kids might have something there on the daytime date idea, because YES! Old people like me REALLY COULD stay awake for an afternoon date!

And Hubs refused to see the new Twilight movie with me, because he said he couldn't take another full-length film involving Isabella Swan and her ENERGETIC, OVERLY FRIENDLY, QUITE BUBBLY personality. I believe his exact words were, "An ice pick to the ear would hurt less than Isabella Swan on the big screen." Well, then.

And even though he was always our goofy little neighbor boy, Keith grew up to be a pretty good guy. Plus, y'all make cute babies, so keep him! Keep him forever.
