We have Grass Growing in our Back Yard!
Wahoo!!
After a week of persistent and consistant water and sunshine plus a few cooler rain days, we have sprouted grass!!
If you don't believe that green wave is grass, take a closer look.
This is a fun little patch which happent to be where Keith dumped the bottom of the bucket.
It looks different from every angle. There are numerous types of seed, some that sprout in 5-10 days all of the way up to some that sprout in 30 days.
We are SO excited that we are doing the green wave happy dance!

Yay! We have mounds and mounds of plain, brown dirt in our yard, which was hauled in on Friday morning. And it's the dusty kind of dirt, so when you walk through it, the dust finds entryway into your sneakers through every single porous shoe fiber. And we have no grass. And also a retaining wall that will not be finished before the Apocalypse. I would like to have a glass of wine and toast YOUR grass for you! Whoop! Whoop!
So glad that "friend" was accurate about the monsoon season starting. :-)
