Wahoo Washington - Skiing

Since we were back home in the winter, I had the opportunity to take Keith to the "ski hill" (as we call it) that I grew up skiing at, 49 degrees North.

Shane has worked in the ski shop since high school.  Here he is getting some equipment ready for us to take out.

The next day, we took the youngest skiers in the family up to 49.
Oliver had never been on skis but we thought it was a good opportunity to test it out since Shane could help us out with equipment and gear for little people.

Before we left, Oliver was entertaining us with a new song.
It should go:
Bring Back
Bring Back
Bring Back My Bonnie to Me

Instead, you'll see Oliver seems to think he would like his Body back.  This may be the funniest song I have ever heard him sing.  It had us rolling in laughter.

Grandma and Grandpa kept Kellan behind and they sent us off with a Starbucks bag full of snacks.

Cousins, Rio and Oliver.  Ready and waiting.
Aren't these the cutest little ski boots ever?

Mom nervously watched as Oliver got on the lift for the first time, ever!
Oliver did great on the ski lift.  Not once did he panic or want off.  It was all good.

Shane and Rio in front on the ski lift.  At the ripe 'ol age of five, Rio is an old pro on the lift.
Proof that I was there, on the lift.

Watch out, it's Rio the Racer!
Cute, Cute, Cute!

Family Photo Moment
Keith and Oliver skiing down the bunny slope.  Oliver did amazing on his first time out.  He went down twice before lunch and twice after lunch.  He kept asking to go faster!!  Keith kept asking him to lean forward.  Skiing was such a big hit.  I'm one proud skiing Mama.
Rio and Shane, making it look easy.

The boys shared a basket of chicken strips and fried for lunch.  They were also getting a lot of adoring looks from people passing by for being such cute and adorable little skiers.
Three hours, Four Runs and One Lunch.  We're calling it a day.
It's not the end of the day though without a stop at Dad's coffee stand in Chewelah.
MMMmmm Italian Soda's
After a hard day of skiing, a soak in the tub is always in order.
Just the guys hanging around this party.
