Sunday, after Kellan's baptism, Mom invited some of the Bermel family over. (Mom's brother's/sister's) It was great to see everyone, especially since we hadn't seen them since Oliver was six months old.
Kellan meets Uncle Joe. It appears that Kellan isn't sure what to think of Joe. It's ok Kellan, Joe used to bounce Mommy on his knee when she was little.
Kellan meets Aunt Sandy. Aunt Sandy has had a part in raising almost all of us kids. She is Mom's youngest sister and there are eleven kids in the family. That makes for a lot of nieces, nephews and now great nieces and nephews to help take care of.
When we left Washington and asked Oliver what his favorite part of the week was he said "Grandma". This was his response on multiple occasions. I'm not sure that Grandma wants me to post this picture but I think it's a true example of why she was Oliver's favorite part of the week. Above the skiing, playing with Rio, playing with Dude (the dog), playing with new toys, Grandma topped it all.
Aunt Sandy thinks she is quite funny. She brought Oliver, Kellan and Rio each the biggest lollipops she could find. Several weeks later they are still wrapped. Oliver notices them every once in a while and asks to eat one. One of these days maybe I'll let him dive in. Kellan wasn't shy to try and eat his, wrapper and all.
Rio and Oliver with cousin Sheena.
Kellan flirting with cousin Kaitie.
There were many more family members there and we are so glad that everyone got a chance to meet Kellan and see Oliver again. We hope to see you all again soon.!
Shane and Kellan at the end of a very long day.
Notice Shane has the baby touch with the burp cloth over his shoulder.
Grandpa taught Oliver how to make Dude (the dog) do tricks for treats. This was a highlight for Oliver, Grandpa and Dude.
Oliver noticed the race track in the basement. After everyone left, Keith put it together for the boys to play with.
Oliver racing his left hand against his right hand.
Rio had to go home, but Keith and Oliver ran a race or two around the track.
It was a long day, but we sure did enjoy it!
