Holiday Celebration with Friends

This past weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating the holidays with some friends. We had a great time and it was so nice to see everyone. Thanks to Julie and Alex for hosting and making an amazing dinner.
Keith and Oliver in their holiday attire. Oliver taking a moment from chomping his cookie to say CHEESE!
Oliver LOVES LOVES LOVES Parker. He gets very excited to see him. I imagine these two will be buddies for years to come. I can only imagine what this conversation is about. Maybe Oliver is telling Parker to hurry up and move past the mushy food so he can eat a yummy cookie too.

These two were so cute. Oliver is so good with Parker. I noticed they were getting close to each other to see eye-to-eye.
Oliver reached out to give Parker a hug (which I missed on camera).
Then Parker reached out to reciprocate with a hair pull.
This resulted in some tears from Oliver. Now when he says Parker he says "Parker pull hair". Hmm... good thing kids have short memories at this age.
Parker just has a different way of showing his love at 8 months of age. He probably thought Mom and the cats like a little hair pull, so he would share a little with his buddy Oliver. Oliver got over it and still loves Parker to pieces.
Christmas came early for Parker and Oliver thanks to Julie, Alex, Michelle and Michael.
Thanks Guys! Oliver LOVES his new toys.

Michelle and Michael enjoying a quiet evening, kid free. Their three year old son Noah was spending the evening with his Aunt. We hope to see Noah again soon!

After the kids had Christmas, the adults started their white elephant gift exchange with gag gifts. Most of the gifts were quite hilarious. We found quite a bit of humor combining two of them, which Alex is demonstrating below: A beer hat and a Dash Board Jesus.
There was also a Santa that made crude remarks when you pulled his fingers. I'm sure you could imagine what that was. Oliver and Alex enjoyed playing with that. I'm thankful that Oliver is only two or we may be doing damage control.
Oliver checking out the beer hat with the Dash Board Jesus, which Keith affectionately calls the DBJ. Let's hope the hat isn't a sign for Oliver's future in college.
Jen and Craig enjoying the evening.

What a great night with friends. It is so good to spend an evening with the people that we call our Denver family.
