PIP

You may recall that Oliver purchased a fish with his hard earned allowance.  When Fire Bolt joined the family, Kellan thought that he needed one too.  I'm sure if you're the little brother, that seems like a perfectly reasonable request.  However, Fire Bolt didn't just fall from the sky, Oliver had to earn him with chores and allowance.  Our challenge was to determine how Kellan would earn himself a fish.  The challenge wasn't too hard to determine as Kellan was working on potty training but he wasn't finding any motivation for pooping in the potty.  So, we set the deal.  If he could poop in the potty, he would get a fish.   We even told his teachers at school so that they could encourage him.

The first day at school after the fish deal that he failed to poop in potty, he put his hand on the wall, hung his head and said in a sad voice "I don't get a fish".  I think it about broke the teachers heart.  After a week or two of this, he finally started to make progress.  By the time we left for Sheridan for the Fourth of July holiday, he had earned his fish.  We promised, he would get his fish upon our return form Sheridan.  We returned on Sunday night and on Monday evening, Keith took him to get his fish.

Kellan likes to do things for himself or help out as much as possible.  He insisted on putting his fish in his new home himself.

With a little help from Daddy, you can see his determination and pride on his face.
He was excited and anxious to give the fish his first dinner party.

The Ham Fam would like to introduce:
PIP!
PIP... where does that come from?
Well, it's an acronym for Poop In the Potty, of course.
Next door, his good buddy, Firebolt.
They prefer the strong and silent relationship as they live at arms length, just how they like it.
It's official, we are a two fish, diaper free family!

Nice Job, Buddy!!!  We are SO proud of you and your potty trained self!!
