Date Day with Morgan

Part of the joy of being a kid is making a fort in the living room.
Now that there are two chairs in the house for two boys, our living room often looks like this.
The boys LOVE fort time in the living room.  Their current favorite is the haunted house when we boo-oooo-oooo and shake the chairs while they are in the fort.  They laugh and laugh!!
Later that morning, I found these two hanging in the garage with their Dad.  Just kicking back, having a chat on the tricycle seat.
Oliver NEVER EVER drinks soda.  Seriously, never.  At Costco a few months ago, they had some vintage soda variety packs so we picked one up.  Oliver spotted an orange one in the garage refrigerator and on this hot summer day, he asked to have it.  So... we gave it to him.  He loved it.  Of course!
This photo isn't clear, but it's a crack up.  For some reason this looks like a really good idea that must be a lot of fun, if you're two little boys in the garage.
Oliver tried and tried, but he never could push his little brother in the dust pan.
Later that day, Morgan came over.  Morgan's Mommy and Oliver and Kellan's Mama are friends from work.  Morgan is four months old and we offered to let her hang with us for a few hours so that her Mommy and Daddy could go on an afternoon date.  I think Morgan may have found herself in a date as well.  Oliver was IN LOVE with her!
He kissed her.
He gazed at her.
He showed her the wonders of the world through a Baby Einstein play mat.
He whispered sweet nothings and in her ear.
Kellan... he talked to himself in the mirror when the playmate wasn't occupied.  He wasn't overly interested in Morgan much past a quick "hello".  She never did get up and run around, so he lost interest fairly quickly.
Alas, Oliver was by her side, ready to hold her hand and tell her stories.
We loved having Morgan over for date day.  I'm not sure who had more fun, Morgan's Mommy and Daddy or Morgan.  She eventually took a nap and I hear that she napped well past pick up.  First dates can be exhausting!

That night, the boys took a bath, like they do most every night.  They were signing, talking and having a great time.  (video to come... eventually)  I did get this rare photo of them both looking and smiling. I don't want to point out the obvious, but we have been blessed with some adorably handsome boys!
