Valentines Day is full of flowers, candy, love and classroom parties.
I'm so thankful for classroom parties. With work, I don't get the opportunity to spend much time in Oliver's classroom, but I do make it a priority to attend the parties. It is so fun to see Oliver in his Kindergarten environment as well as meet his friends and their parents.
The party is always full of activities, crafts and snacks. Sometimes, all three are combined into one.
First up, a heart shape craft project. Oliver was very specific about how he decorated his heart. (he's the blondie with the yellow paper.
One of the activities was sucking up a marshmallow with a straw and moving them all from one plate to the next. They got one practice round and then it was show time.
After Oliver blew away the competition, he (and his friends) got to enjoy the marshmallows. There is nothing like a mouth full of ooey gooey melty marshmallow to make you giggle.
During snack, I captured Oliver with some of his new Kindergarten buds; Adriano and Luke.
Who says that boys don't like their photo taken. These crazy nuts were begging for a photo op.
The classroom was oozing with hearts and love.
Happy Valentines Day from a bunch of wild and crazy Kindergarten boys.
(Honestly, my favorite part of this photo was the girls to the right and the looks of concern on their face while I was taking the photo. I'm convinced that they thought the boys were foreign creatures. If only that would last for the next 20 years)
