Hodge Podge Weekend

Easter came a bit early in the Hamilton house thanks to Nana and Grandma.  Nana sent the boys their Easter outfits, which you will see in a future post.  Grandma sent the boys Easter treats that were delivered on our front porch one fine afternoon.  The boys were curious and excited to open the box that mysteriously appeared while we were at work and school.
Kellan was very curious about his new Mr Potato Head, which arrived with perfect timing as Kellan is very proud to point out body parts like ears, eyes, hair, head, mouth, lips, tummy, arm, hand, etc.  The eye point can be a particularly tough one since he likes to actually touch the items in which he is identifying.
Oliver also wanted a turn at moving Mr Potato Heads parts around and Kellan carefully kept a watchful eye on the progress to make sure that parts were not too far out of place.
Kellan loved Mr Potato Head!

Oliver got a Nerf Gun that he said was "So Cool!".  He loved it so much that he picked one out for his friends birthday party.  While at the store he said "I want to get him one like Grandma got me."  He didn't stand still with it for very long and then he was off to stick nerf bullets to anything and everything.
On Saturday night we went out to dinner with the Martin's at our mutual favorite location, Hacienda Colorado.  After we stuffed ourselves silly, we thought frozen yogurt would be a perfect ending to a fun night with friends.  Oliver loves picking out his flavors of frozen yogurt with yummy treats to put on top.  When it came to taking a picture though, Kellan was too interested in the next bite to smile for a photo.
Dig In Boys!
Mmmmmm  YUM!!!!
CHEESE!!!!!
FREEZE!!!!!
On Sunday we had a few items to pick up at the Home Depot.  Lately, Keith has been taking the boys on his own.  Low and behold, they had a routine.  First, you have to get the super cool cart with driving seats.  Then, you have to drive by the demonstration lady, flash your super cute smile and get some popcorn intended for the demonstration viewers.  Then when she asks if you would like to stay for a demonstration you say "no way, jose!"  (ok, not quite like that, but close).  Then, you head off in search of your items.  The boys did very well driving their cars, exactly the same way since Kellan likes to mimic his big brother.  I was also amazed at how well they shared the popcorn.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of the three most handsome guys every!
That evening we were enjoying another day in the 80's and the neighbors were out in full swing.  The kids had a lemonade stand and the adults were pouring cement for a basketball hoop.  It was the perfect opportunity to break out the new Babiator sunglasses that Keith was sent. (perks of the plastic industry.  You may recognize these shades as movie star kids have been spotted in them.)  It was also the perfect opportunity to clean out the freezer of Otter pops.
Joel, Anika, Brock and Oliver at the lemonade stand.  They were quite popular with the neighbors that passed by.
Across the street the big guys were hard at work pouring cement as the recipients of the hoop stood over them watching with a critical eye.
Kellan was loving an Otter Pop too.  I'm sure he's thinking that this summer will be much more fun now that he's ONE!
Hanging with my boys with a few self portraits.  Kellan would have rather been holding the camera than smiling for a photo but Mommy and Oliver smiled on queue.
Kellan rockin' the Babiators.  We love these new shades!
Later that week we proceeded to fill boxes with household items and we took the brave step of packing all of our winter gear (it's Colorado and it could snow at any second) except for this hat that Kellan wanted to sport around.
Until Next Time, the plot thickens!
