Our St Patrick's Day tradition is to ride the light rail downtown to watch the parade. This year, Oliver was a bit under the weather so we weren't sure that we would make it. That Saturday morning, he seemed to be great so we headed out.
Carrie, Kellan (in bjorn) and Oliver checking out the Light Rail train.
It was a gorgeous morning in March.
Kellan sportin' his sunglasses, which happen to be green and called Wee Shades. Perfect!
Kellan's first ride on the Light Rail.
Dad and his boys.
The commentary options that could go with these next two photos could go on for miles.
Kellan was all decked out from head to toe in his St Patrick's Day gear.
I couldn't have planned this photo if I would have tried. Daddy and Kellan with matching "huh" expressions.
Oliver and his Mama
"Ahh... I'm being attacked by the claw"
(not really, but doesn't it look that way?)
We finally made it downtown to Union Station.
We met up with the Stack family in our usual place.
Jen, Parker, Keith, Oliver and Craig.

There was a party above us...
... and in front of us.
Uh Oh... grumpy face is back.
Oliver started heading south and was feeling under the weather again.
Mama and Kellan at the parade. So... Kellan's glasses weren't perfect, but they sure helped. Especially when they were on right and his eyes weren't peaking out the bottom.
The parade had a VERY long break in it and several people actually thought it was over. Instead of fight the crowds, we headed down the middle of the street.
Then, the parade came around the corner. We jumped back to the side walk and enjoyed a bit more.
The parade was complete with Irish Dancers, Irish Music, Bag Pipes, Bands, Politicians, Horses, Party Floats, Cars, Motorcycles, Candy for Kids and Confetti!
Even if Oliver didn't quite make it through the whole parade in high spirits, it was a gorgeous blue sky day to be outside in Colorado. Even under the weather, he had a good time and said he loved the parade.
Back at home, we enjoyed a quiet evening and dinner with just the four of us.
Here are a few of the many moments of Kellan.
Oliver enjoyed relaxing with one of his favorite shows.
A quick brotherly photo.
Another quick photo moment. I have to be quick with these two before they lose interest or patience.
Kellan enjoying his favorite floor position, tummy time.
On Sunday, the nice weather continued. We were in need of a outside break, so we headed to the park.
"Argh Matey!"

Oliver loves going down the slide.
It was a bit windy so we had both boys in ear covering hats.
Even Keith took a turn on the slide a time or two.
Oliver taking another turn down the slide.
Oliver ended up battling his virus for five days. He had a temperature from normal to 100. On the fourth day it spiked to 103. Yikes! I took him to the Dr and they couldn't figure out what caused it but treated him with antibiotics, just in case. The next day he was back to his happy self and has been great ever since. We're glad he's back to good health. We are also glad that spring has sprung and our days of going outside to enjoy the Colorado sunshine are once again upon us. Yay for Spring!
