Sunday
Last Sunday was a hodge podge of miscellaneous activity. For starters, did you know that your Croc's can be used as a traveling crayon holder? We may have a patent idea here, folks! While lounging in our PJ's Sunday morning, I noticed Oliver putting his crayons in his Croc's. Once they were secure, he would stroll around with his crayons He was too fast for me to get a good picture of that. On another note, do you find it strange that Oliver is wearing shoes with his PJ's? On the weekends we like to move between the house and the deck. Oliver insists on having shoes on to go outside. We find it easiest to slip on the Croc's.

Later that morning we headed over to the Boberg's for brunch. Since they live only a few miles away we thought we would test out our first family ride in the convertible with the top down. Oliver has ridden in the car to school with the top down, but never anywhere else. It was quite fun and the three of us enjoyed the quick ride.
The top is down, the sun is shining, there is a breeze blowing by, snacks and beverage securely and steadily available, what more can a kid ask for?

It wasn't quite as easy with the wind and sun whirling around us. We thought the bobbing head was quite cute. I'm not sure he agreed with the look he gave us at the end. I think I've seen that look from Grandpa Garner when he's trying to take a nap. HA HA!!
Sunday afternoon Jen, Craig and Parker stopped by for a visit. We love having them come to visit. We were so much fun that Parker passed out. Wow! We'll have to work on our entertaining skills. HA HA!!
Living on the Edge
I am a little behind in updating the blog, so you'll have to bear with me while I work to get it updated.
Last weekend, Keith hiked two of the Colorado Fourteeners with his buddies. For those of you not from Colorado, a Fourteener is what we call a mountain that is over fourteen thousand feet above sea level. Keith and his friends climbed Torrey's (14,267 ft) and Gray's (14,270 ft). They were preparing for a four day hike trip with four fourteeners this weekend. Unfortunately, Keith had to cancel for work commitments but he was still up to the challenge of climbing Torrey's and Gray's via the knife edge. You'll see what I mean when you look at the pictures. These are trips that I like to not think about until he gets home and I see the pictures. YIKES!

Fourth of July in Sheridan, WY
For the third year in a row we spent the Fourth of July with the Hamilton family in Sheridan, WY. It could be more than three by now, but I'm losing track of the count. We had a great time and enjoyed time with family. If Oliver could list his favorite parts I am sure the list would be endless. It would include things like spending time with Nana & Papa, Aunt and Uncles, bright and loud fireworks, staying up past bed time, running around in the big lush yard, endless yummy food, little people houses, bouncing Papa's golf balls on the porch, the kiddie pool at the Powder Horn club house and the list would go on. Without a doubt, the top of the list would be running around with his cousin Lauren. The two of them were like peas and carrots, or like cookies and milk if you prefer the sweeter side of analogies.
The morning of July fourth Keith and I got in a round of golf with his Dad and brother Brian. It was a beautiful morning and the first time the two of us have been able to play together this year.
That afternoon Oliver was sharing his gold fish snack with Dad.
He was even willing to share with Mom too.

The last morning we took a self timing family photo. I am thinking that self portrait pictures aren't always flattering, or maybe it is my shorts that never look great in photos. Hmm... Either way, here we all are.
